  2. the foremost part of an advancing army or naval force.

Plymouth Vanguard are an American Football program in Devon, covering Senior (18+), Women's, and Junior Varsity.

Our inception came from a meeting between Jos Tector and Jay Saddleton, who both wanted to return high level American Football to Plymouth, after the loss of the Admirals in 2010.

The team was born in August 2023 and has been on a quick path since, with lots of coaches and players expressing immediate interest.

Built from the ground up, with the correct procedures in place to protect the clubs integrity and safeguard players, Vanguard will be a force to reckon with for the foreseeable future.
